This is a Museum situated on the outskirts of Swansea, which is dedicated to life in Swansea during the Wartime Years (WW2). The museum boasts an impressive street scene, a photo gallery of the 3 day blitz of Swansea, a dressing up room full of 1940 clothing and much more.
The Glamorgan Home Guard, has 'adopted this museum as it's Training Ground. The group can often be seen interacting with the visitors, or carrying out military training, within the building, or grounds.

| Visitors can sometimes be surprised when a Sentry appears at the main gates, demanding to see Identification Cards.
Here we see a Vintage car that has arrived and made a first class prop for a Photo.
If a member of the Group is present during a school visit, the Coach will be stopped and searched for German Aircrew! much to the delight of the schoolchildren and teachers onboard. |
| During a re-enactors weekend, when groups from all over wales and the midlands gathered at the museum, one of the 'set pieces' was a wartime wedding complete with vicar and of course a wooden cake (there is a war on, they couldn't get enough eggs!!) .
Glamorgan Home Guard in their alternative impression turned up a workmen, who were 'press ganged' into the ceremony |
